Post trade aftermath OKC & The Knicks

Image
This NBA offseason has been so wild it’s stolen the top headlines from the first two weeks of the NFL season with KD’s burner account and Kyries pseudo kobe moment on first take. This trend continued when our commander and tweets revoked steph curry’s invitation to the white house… after steph said he didn’t want to go, the president then called the NFL players S.O.B and not in the cool Stone Cold Steve Austin way either. Buried in between all of this sports vs politics the President of the Mid range mafia Carmelo Anthony was traded for Enes Kanter, Doug Mcdourmet and a 2nd round draft pick. Knicks : Carmelo might not be your favorite player you might even think he’s overrated but if there is one thing you know you’re going to get from Melo is a player who isn’t afraid of the big moments and most importantly a player who really believes he’s the best player on court at all time. We may say he isn’t and name 15-20 guys better than him, ( Dam sure not 63) all that matters is Car

Is the Game a Legend?

Image
The Game has announced that his Next album is his “last”. Hip Hop like in sports only the Legends get to pick when it’s over and it’s an interesting conversation depending on who you ask. To some Game is a great mc, to others he’s an attention seeking gang member who will find any kind of drama to attach himself to. In my eyes though game is one of the greatest mc’s to ever pick up a microphone. He checks all the boxes. When I look at a legendary rappers there are a certain marks you hit Talent: if i put you in a room and told you to just rap would i be impressed? Commercial success: A lot of “Hip Hop” Purist would scoff at making commercial success a marker of a legendary MC, but this my opinion and as far as i can see no one who is lauded as one of the greatest doesn’t have some commercial success. Influence: the mark a rapper leaves on the game has to be bigger than sales. Who did you influence can you look around the game and see the rappers you’ve help create o

American Horror story has been on since 2010 and has gone through everything from an insane asylum, a hotel and even spent sometime on a reality show. Well looks like this season they’ve Joined the biggest reality series ever, American politics. From what i took away from the first episode this season will be filled with symbolism with the cast of characters representing different pockets of American. Kai:Evan Peter AKA Kai easily stole the first episode of the season by using his uncanny ability to act bat shit crazy. Kai’s character represents the the Most extreme Alt right trump supporters, the kind of supporter that other MAGA/ Alt right supporters will say gives them a bad name. Once the election results were announced final Kai tried to impregnate his T.V and yelled “Freedom”. His yelling of freedom hits on the point that a lot of young white men who have joined the alt right feel that they’re being unfairly judged and their freedom of speech is being taken away by the PC

Loyalty, You talking about loyalty?

Image
Whether the Celtics and  Cavs trade gets finalized, hopefully this is the last season we talk about loyalty in sports. I’m not saying there is no loyalty between the players or even the coaching staff and the players but that’s where the cut off begins. Look at the contrast of the biggest offseason moves of the last two season. In 2016 Kevin durant signed with the Golden State Warriors and was destroyed by the internet and sport personalities for not being “loyal”, after playing in OKC for 9 years, taking them to their very first NBA finals and was a focal point in the community during the Tornado that devastated the OKC area. This off season the Celtics are in the process of trading Isaiah thomas for kyrie irving. If you missed last season isaiah thomas only Averaged 30 ppg and led the NBA in 4th quarter scoring. Those are only numbers though. Isaiah showed his heart to the world last season when he played in the Celtics first playoff game a day after the death of his younger sis
